The Old School House
The Brief
To create a family kitchen with soul in this historic village house within this newly repurposed kitchen space. The clients wanted a sanctuary to entertain family and friends within this beautiful open plan space with views across the mature garden on three sides of the space.
Elements
Featuring Middleton Country cabinetry ‘The Old School’ house is traditional take on open plan living the uncluttered cabinetry arrangement with purposeful design for storage, working and social areas of the kitchen to support the nearby dining and family areas. The soft tones with natural marble countertops create an inviting family space.
The Aga elevation with delicately placed marble backsplash and display shelf is the central focus for the kitchen with generous countertops on either side.
With bespoke spice drawer and Aga tray storage to one side and leading to the double sink with integrated dishwasher within easy reach. The breakfast cupboard features bespoke ‘pull-out’ shelf for the families beloved coffee machine. Directly opposite a prep sink and boiling water tap this creates zone for barista style coffees in this sociable space.
The hardworking island has a stool pocket for morning coffee and ample counter space to prep and present meals. The central drawers have utensil storage and pan drawers beneath. With integrated bin and pull-out fridge the island provides everything to hand for the cook.
